Pay Per Call Television Advertising - Pay Per Lead TV Advertising

Q- What is the definition of a call in a cost per call campaign?

A- Most of our campaigns generate a 30 or 60 second connected call.  So wrong numbers are not charged, etc.  If a connected call lasts 30 or 60 seconds, that would be a billable lead.

Q- How much do I pay per lead/call

A- That will depend on the vertical.  Generally, if you are generating leads online it will be slightly more expensive than exclusive online leads (maybe from search marketing).

We have over 100 offers in the network, and payouts range from $20- $150 or more depending on the offer.  A call for life insurance may cost $35 while a call for legal consultation may cost $100+.  Its usually relative to the industry, and what it will take to get a station to run the offer.  If the spot doesn’t generate enough revenue, the stations will stop running it.  So your payout will need to be aggressive.  Remember this is a qualified call to your company requesting info on your products (not a lead that clicked on 10 google ads)

Q- What is an example test? What kind of budget do I need for a test?

Remember we are talking about radio and TV advertising.  We have to create a spot, tag the spots with unique phone numbers, and traffic the spots.

Generally we will look to test between $5,000 and $10,000 for a new offer.  There is a lot of work to get the spot in a station’s hands and make sure they run it.  But we are negotiable, and willing to review most offers.

Q- How many calls or leads can I get on a daily or weekly basis?

A- For this to make sense for our networks, you will need to be able to take at least 10-20 leads per day.  Though leads will take a while to ramp up during the initial test as stations learn about the offer and begin playing it.

Q- How do payments work?

A- A prepayment is required generally for the amount of one or two weeks of calls, and for the creation of an ad.  This can be made via credit card.  Payments for calls are then made weekly for calls received the prior week.  There always has to be money in the pot to cover unpaid invoice (as stations require weekly payment on per inquiry media).

Q- Do I have to take calls in multiple states?

A- In order for a campaign to make sense from a volume perspective, you must be able to take calls in multiple states or nationwide.

If that is not possible we would be happy to buy local media for you on a remnant basis which would be significantly cheaper than you can purchase it yourself.

Q- Do I need to have a call-center?

A- A call-center is not required, but since you are paying for connected calls it is wise to have someone available to answer calls at all times.  Otherwise you will be paying for connected voicemails or calls that are on hold waiting for a salesperson.

Q- Do I need to take calls 24 hours a day and 7 days a week?

A- This is not a requirement, but spots are played on an as available basis.  Most drive time space is filled by paid advertisers, especially local advertisers.  Your sales team should be able to take calls a most of the day, 5-7 days a week.

Q- What if my hours are only 8-6?

A- We will put callcenter hours on an ad for the radio station to consider.  However, most per inquiry ads are run in off hours which may be 10-4 or 6-10, or overnights.

We can recommend a callcenter for afterhours calls, if you don’t want to be charged for voicemails.  An after hours callcenter can answer the phone as your company, collect caller information and email you a lead.

Q- Where are spots played?

A- These are likely stations in your area that you listen to.  Local stations, Large networks or satellite radio run our ads.  We work with all types of stations from top 40 to financial, to talk radio and sports.

Q- When are my spots played?

A- Spots air when stations have unsold media.  This can be anytime during the day, but likely off hours including, evenings and overnight.  But the high performing spots will get run with paid advertising quite often in drive time.

Q-  How can you do this?

A- We have relationships with stations all over the US, and our company has been doing this for a while.  You can’t just call a radio station and ask to pay for calls.  Stations will usually seek our company out to find new high performing offers to run when they don’t have paid media.

Q- What are some example verticals that work well?

A- We work with a lot of financial offers like life insurance or debt resolutions.  We also work with cruise companies, lawyers, or even psychic lines. Any nationwide, consumer friendly offer could work on radio

Q- What if my spots don’t generate calls?

A- If the offer doesn’t work, then the stations won’t continue to run it.  I suppose you would get some free branding.  The remaining dollars from your prepayment would be refunded.

Q- Can you just buy media for me?

A- We can likely purchase media at far cheaper rates than if they a station direct.  We are happy to buy radio placements on a remnant basis.
